An Ocean Flaws Tale...
Our brand new single, Deep Sea Dreaming, just got a makeover.
Coming from Essex, and as a guitar band, we were hard-pressed to find both local and internationally successful music to look up to.
Even Plan B (who was expelled, and martyred, by the same secondary school we attended) wasn’t speaking to us in the same way that artists from up north and across the oceans were.
And so, out of this artistically stagnant swamp arose the fresh sugary sound of Ocean Flaws. Our music, however, isn’t just an attempt to give Essex a name beyond Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli, it’s an attempt to synthesise our own brand of the glittery neo-psych, exported from Perth since 2010 - pimped with a generous helping of anthemic pop from places north of the orbital.
Numb, still, from the runaway success of our latest single, Deep Sea Dreaming, which received plays from Radio X and BBC Introducing, we are thanking our fans with a beachy soundtrack to their lockdown - in the form of a wavy dance remix.
From the heart of Manchester, Oscillate Recordings - who has worked with the likes of Jon Dasliva, Moodbay, and BlackSilence - brings you Ocean Flaws’ first ever official house remix.
